A Minneapolis man who alleged he was punched in the face by a police officer settled his federal case against the officer for $495,000. Eldridge Chatman said Officer Craig Taylor punched him so hard he suffered a traumatic brain injury and required two surgeries. Chatman said he was in his North Minneapoils apartment building in April 2008, on his way to get his mail, when he saw a group of officers executing a search warrant in a drug case.
Chatman said Officer Taylor beckoned him to come to him. When Chatman did, he said Taylor punched him in the face.
